I looked up the 10-pitch when it was posted a last time. A nice idea but I wouldn't have been successful. Comparing the weights was interesting and looking at people experimenting with 1" pitch drivetrains.
To me so long as the sprocket is within 12-17T is doesn't matter about the chainring.

Big sprockets look shit. Biggest sprocket I would use on fixed is a 17.
pfffft.
I have a 26T sprocket that I regulary use for climbs, together with a 41T chainring.

10mm pitch only makes sense if you want to have very fine gradations of gearing. You can't get around the simple physics of chain tension, so if you want something as efficient as 48/16 1/2" drive, you'd have to run 60/20 in 10mm pitch.

this is bike porn, MT, innit? =))

chain ring ruins it. why cant anyone see small rings look shit.
^
big sprockets dont look as bad as tiny chainrings, plus big sprockets/chainrings are more practical.^ what are you two on about? this is dura ace 10mm pitch drivetrain, look it up! and the ratio must be around 46:16 or 48:16 or smthn like that
I know what DA10pitch is but it still looks shit on that bike. put a normal chainring on it.

As a general aesthetic point, bikes look more 'racy' with a steep converging angle on the chain, and this depends on the difference between chain and sprocket, not the ratio. So, 50/15 looks more racy than 40/12, even though they are exactly the same ratio.

totally agree with this point
but DA10 is the shit! =)) -

Yup. I always really like those wheels on lugged steel frames. Not sure why though, as they kinda don't match. What bars do we suppose those are?

I'm so sorry. I don't feel like browsing through 300 pages to see if you have posted a pic already.(..)
Stop posting so much then. At least from flickr :)
