Looks like any other unbuilt lugged frame.
Meh. I never took any notice of any of your other posts, why start now...

New Feather...
650c track frame.
to me that looks heavy and slack. No doubt well built to a fabulous quality just not my cup of tea. Also lugs, less of it the better. All that detailing is just a waste of time, instead, machine them down to the bear minimum, then it begins to look like a serious attempt.

^^ look at the Bottecchias' seat stays, the seat clamp and the slight delicate curve, true quality is that. Me likes.

Horses for courses, i guess...
I wouldn't go for something as complicated (lug wise) but i still appreciate it as porn...

90deg seat tube angle on the Bottecchia?
He doesn't look like a T-Rex. Had 2 stage winds in the Giro and was national points race champion in 1985 when riding for Malvor/Bottecchia http://www.cyclingarchives.com/coureurfichestats.php?coureurid=156 -

^^ it's a bike jumble, what sort of a background would you expect?..

BMC track bike with mud guards and are those egg beaters? oh dear.

• #35087
ever been on one?
yeah, not that impressed, handling on a R3SL made it feel sluggish and unresponsive, also a tad soft.
S3 was rock hard and way to unforgettable for long distances, fast, but not a bike i would consider buying. -

BMC track bike with colour coordinated raceblades...>>>>>>>>>
I have ridden MTBs since 1985 when did you first ride one?
Good luck riding a bike setup like that up hill. I would choose single speed for that sort of bike setup every time as riding up hills and any distance is not what it is made for. You are thinking of an XC bike I think...
I have gears on my jump bike, as I normally raise the saddle and ride it to the jumps/track. When racing, at times it has been useful having gears, I only ever use 2, one for start and sometimes shift up at bottom of start hill. Riding any distance on it at all is ridiculously hard work, but quicker than pushing it.

the blue and chrome bike looks the most interesting.
why put fenders on a BMC track bike? Strait to anti. -

to ride it to the track? looking at the tarmac, seems like it had been raining

what's the sense of that weird geo , huh ?

It's a time trial frame from the mid 1980s, before the UCI insisted that we all sit behind the BB. There was a fad for getting very forward so that you could get the trunk more horizontal without excessively closing the hip angle. Although this was predominantly exhibited in the triathlon arena, it is unsurprising that some road riders also experimented with it on their TT bikes. I can't find a pic of it built up, but I would expect to have seen a track stem and deep drops.

Nice!

Nicely understated. I'd rather see it with tape on the bars but that's nitpicking.

Just needs a seat change. The Rolls is far too big (and gold!) for the otherwise delicate bike/parts

possibly yes, still lovely though
