What Russ have you got?
I'm restoring a Russ track at the minute. I might have spare seat/head badge transfers, if you need them.
It's a 1940s E.F. Russ of Battersea (I assume there's only one Russ?) path bike, gold decals on red (I'll get the paint job redone, but keep the colour). Could certainly do with some decals, assuming they're the same, as I've done nothing about getting hold of any yet.

I'm not sure why it's in this thread. The frame itself was lush with lovely fillet brazing, but the build was so-so.
Here's before I was hit by a car (frame didn't suffer - only the front wheel)

**not pasting the full image of me own build, as it would be a bad juju.

I apologize, I was perving in your bikes album and really liked it - liked the look with those straight bars but the bars and white tape in the other picture look good too. Went for the one with matching tyres and no mudguard. Wicked colour bike.

That's why I gave the link to the second build, because it shows the true colour of the frame. Amazing work from the Argos dudes. Joe's a lucky guy to be the right size for the frame.

I honestly don't think I'll ever fit a lo pro. Am i missing out?
-
• #33242
If you fit a road bike, you can fit a lo pro, but you're not missing much.
-
• #33243
You will fit if it fits you (ie. it's your size). They are fun, but after 20 miles in traffic you need a rest and a pint. And a massage.

not 100% porn but taking a ride on these would scare me like riding that 2bit hussy down the road. 875g the pair (sans tubs)!

those things I imagine implode instantly like a stack of cards when they fail, I'd be scared too.

rode 100 miles on my dave yates fixed lo pro on sunday and its set up in a similar fashion with bullhorns but i admit to running a brake, so its possible to go further. whether or not it comes recommended is a very different issue!

anyone know what tires these are? I want some gumwalls but they need to be clincher and 23mm or less. oh, and have decent puncture protection as they'll be used on the road
-
• #33248
they have three flanges to help with the stresses of pedalling on the hub.

The Look like clement criterium(?) tubulars.
Veloflex pave or record are nice gumwall clinchers, also deda tre corsa and some older vittoria open corsa have gumwall but they only make em in black now. There's some cheap ones like michelin erilium and panaracer parsela too that are pretty good. -
