Just stands out like a sore thumb on such a beautifully patinated frame, so shiny! I'd imagine the original fork had a much tigher clearance also... The brake does somewhat ruin the aesthetic but it's nice to see it being used...

Are you quite sure? cause it look like it's the correct fork for the frame, look like it was design for 27", check out how far in the axles is on the track end.
can't tell much from the photo but it look like a twin plate crown fork, which is pretty much a common sign on (assuming) old 60's frame design for 27" wheels.

Yeah I know what you mean but the owner had it on velospace, said he didn't have the original fork... Looking at the rear clearance it probably was made for 27", there's a good space there and the hub seems to be right up in the dropout... Stunning frame though, beautiful stem and bars too...
