  • hmm might have to have a word with you about that. PMd.

    porn\/

  • But if you want light, you need plastic ;)

    Is that yours Smallfurry? Pray tell where one purchases such goodies?

  • Looks sweet...
    Custom Guru would be my dream bike, I think. Viner Maxima is pretty rad as well.

    The one I wqas following on EBay was ex-display with a single tiny chip. Obviously not custom to me, but it was my size, and was still hand made and finished. I put it out of my mind, then one day opened my EBay watching list to see it went for around $800 or less. Still wake up at night in a cold sweat, screaming noooooo!.

    Just a pic from t'internet. Shows how bloody light the thing is (I can never be arsed to weigh components, I'm probably the sort of person that would though ;) ). Finally got mine working properly. The system is very sensitive to chainline. Once dialled in, it runs butter smooth though. I'd recommend running it with a 'angry bee' hub (copyright - dancing james), like a hope pro II, or a CK. The contrast between smooth pedaling, and angry bee free wheeling is fecking brilliant.

    (Got mine as an extra with a Spot Brand frame I bought. They are a bit pricey after-market. http://www.g-boxx.org/ )

  • sadly cannot take claim for angry bee

    "Every now and then we receive product feedback that we feel we must immortalize in print. Sure, we know that our rear hub makes a distinctive sound. But thanks to Akiyoshi Takamura, a Japanese rider and King customer, we'll never be able to get "It rolls good with angry bee sound" out of our head."

  • Always reminds me of this.

    Is it a bee?

  • Unsure whether this been posted before;

  • Proper track machine

  • For proppa track use mebie (basically to crash), but pron?

    I'd rather have a Kalavinka. (Even the Look or the Shiv in anti)

  • Unsure whether this been posted before;

    I actually really like that. I suppose the wheels dont really suit the frame, but to me it works.

  • The only thing that's bizarre is the strap with no cage.

  • The only thing that's bizarre is the strap with no cage.

    Sometimes riders are clipped and strapped in. For example:

  • Especially sprinters are

  • eds planet x is awsome, one of the best builds of those tracks

  • Did not know that sprinter often use both clipless and strap, learn something new everyday.

  • The Planet X is a nice (if somewhat unexceptional) frame, the original Shamal wheels are beautifu (and how I regret selling mine), but together, wrong, wrong WRONG!

  • Oh Ed...

  • that shamal'd planet x is proper shit, mismatched, but really hot
    does anyone else think it's got a flimsy (low) gear?

    Could be around 43/13 (89 GI) I suppose?

    46/15 seems more likely, which would be proper gearing for Calshot, 46/14 would be good for HH training.

    I have that chainset and a 41T chainring I use for climbs. With 41T the chain is about a hairs breadth from the chainring bolts, so I'm going to guess 44T. The rear looks pretty small, maybe 15T.

    Not bad gearing at 77GI then. But if you spend so much time making your bike look fast, you should be rocking say 53:18 (also 77GI).

    If you want to make it go fast, on the other hand, 53/16 would be nearer the mark

  • i knew you lot would get back at me for that :)
    i figured it was general agreement that for single speed / fixed gear the more teeth (both front and rear) - the better, life-time-wise. i also understand 42/13 would make the bike go quite fast :) but that was not my point

  • moving on...

  • ^^ That is very lovely indeed! I've become a little disillusioned with carbon fibre from an aesthetic point of view but that is horribly pretty!
