would you like to comment on above conversation re: period correct-ness of the build as well?
I don't see a problem with 1987 parts on a 1986 frame, after all we have all bought frames at Christmas and not finished building them up until the next summer :-) It's period correct, not precisely synchronous, that is the aim.

Can you all please stick to Russian/whatever for all BMX related bullshit. Thanks.
He means he isn't interested much in the BMX aspect of porn.

posted that white Colnago about 2 months ago in this thread, definately porn.
silly price for a bike thats gonna see a track once in a blue moon, will exist as a fetish object, and be utterly ridiculous on the road, but hey, ones mans meat... -

Except that the cranks could be brand new 2010 stock, and are certainly not '87 C-record

Where's the rest?

That's true, don't know when they switched from laser etched to screen printed but I'm just cleaning some 1992/3 cranks and they were still laser etched then. Should the '87s be engraved?

btw ,
I have actually stroked, caressed, gently hefted, realigned, spun, tickled, pinched, slapped, turned around (twice) that White Colnago, and all in private before any photographs were taken. -

I personally think the white Colnago Looks shit .... like all lo-pros.

Road c-record were all laser-etched, dont know about track, dont even know if they made the track-group as early as in 86-87

Seriously, never ever seen a lopro I have ever liked the look of. They look wrong.

The daffodils look nice though.

Can't remember exactly when I got my first set, definitely before 1991 and after 1986, but maybe as early as 87. Velobase says C-Record Pista from 1986 onwards.

Some look amazing in my opinion (not all) - especially when built as they were meant to be. Like some Mosers I've seen in this thread.
Again, personal preference. Almost all BMXs look to me like silly children bikes. I know it's irrational. Maybe it's a phobia of hood rats on my estate?

Bearing in mind that is has never been ridden and is built with NOS parts, the seller obviously just inserted the stem and seat post to the minimum insertion lines to avoid marking them any further up. I have my doubts about a 15cm stem with LA84 bars, although I ride LA84s with a 12cm Grammo on my Lo-Pro with a front brake, so maybe it's OK for a pursuit bike.
Understandable, you know your stuff. I do think bikes should allow compromise or preference. I think it's a mighty fine build but probably not the taste of purists

I have 13cm 3TTT Record with 3TTT Moser bars only because it's the same 26mm clamp.
Far too flexy. Before I cut down the bullhorns it was actually a scary setup.
