you could easily be right. however, people who would intentionally make their bikes look "older" buy rubbing the paint off parts are actually out of their minds, imho, so i hope it's not the case

Bikes should be waxed and polished regularly, it's in the Magna Carta.

The stem could have been worn as it is the prime grip for 'walking the bike'. But the frames on several of the pics are worn equally. When they should be more worn in certain areas (like under the down tube, bloody road grit).
Puppy killing has moved on to mere puppy physical abuse.
For shame!

I need help IDing a frame asap, if someone who knows their shit could email me I'd very much appreciate it!

[pointless rant] I dont think that stem has been out long enough to look that shoddy. Plus the little bit of red writing says 'servio corsa' (or something similar, cant be bothered to look it up), meaning its the expensive titanium bolted version.
The whole thing, is like a mega expensive version of painting paper with a used tea-bag to make a more authentic looking pirate map. [/pointless rant]
All I know is, if I end up putting a threadless fork on my Cannondale, I'm getting one.

I'd say it's probably a bike frame. NEXT!

Most of the wear is probably from locking up with a chain all day long. I think most of these bikes were/are messenger's bikes.

Hold on, I don't think it is.

Ha, I like to assume the owners of these bikes are honest.
Cheers for the link, BTW.

the debate about the authenticity of the wear on those bikes is funny.
MC those bikes are porn for sure. nice finds. especially like the cinelli and the KHS.
do not like the bianchi at all though. GT is ok, but not a fan of aero frames so much

The Bianchi isn't my 'thing' at all, there's just something about it...
