yeah, but a little more understatement is pleasant. I mean those rich sheikhs are not know for that. And a golden DA is plain dead end cultural snobbishness.

Chris Boardman has the outright record using the superman position. It was outlawed after that.I was at Manchester when he broke Merckx's athletes hour record it was touch and go and the noise was deafening when he just did it
true, but obree did it first, if im not mistaken, and beat boardman on his 1/2 million monocoque lotus?

Yes Boardman nicked the position from O'bree.Talking of O'bree I assume you have seen The Flying Scotsman ? its not to bad a film.I competed against O'bree once in the 95 national 25 he pushed a massive fixed gear of about 118 I think and only beat me by 11 minutes!!

Speedwell Titanium, first Ti frame ever. It was made in the mid 70ies in an Argon filled chamber using a gas torch because TIG welding wasn´t even available back then. The Campa Super Record also marks the fist use of Ti in bike components. This really makes me want a pollished, smooth welded Ti frame, pure sex! -

Portland, the only American city that are probably more cycle-friendly than London.
They built a $7million cycle bridge accross the rio grande in ABQ.. That's quite bike friendly.

yep i've seen the film and the documentary with interviews from him. the film was alright, but at the end of the day its still a hollywood movie and loads of bits are missing/fabricated im sure.
thats an impressive thing to be able to say about competing against obree.
