This makes me totally wet....
Well put some mudguards on it then. It's only a POS Crack'n'fail with Shimano 105, so you might as well use it as a winter beater.

Its not just can you weld but have you a jig?.I know someone who cut the ends off an old Diamond Back and the tubes went all out of line because they had been forced into shape. He found it a right bastard to get the track ends in and he has a bike jig.On the other hand a GT he did was easy as it had been built straight and when he cut the back out it did not spring all over the place

But...but it's Gorgeous Baby Blue!?
I know!! That is clearly the selling point, surprised that it isnt used more to attract attention to otherwise shit bikes ;)
But honestly who says that porn need be made with expensive components??
Consider this the thai street hooker of questionable legality who might still be able to give you a good ride....crack, clap or otherwise... -

The usefulness of that stem could be increased dramatically by adding a ruler to the side of it so that you could make accurate adjustments for different circumstances and know your numbers to get you back to precisely where you were.

I have an '87 cannondale crit, same color, with Shimano 600. It's a cool bike, and it gets a lot of attention, but I'll admit that it isn't over the top. I love the color though.

It doesn't have to be Dura Ace to be porn, but that 105 (1050/1051 era) definitely isn't. The first generation 105 might work as retro pr0n.

you keep saying this but we all know that you do need to skid. Not all the time agreed, but if you want to ride at normal pace you will need to skid a few times on each ride as leg braking from 20 mph is just not effective enough and you would spend as much time gradually slowing down for lights, junctions, corners etc,. as you would cruising along.
Unless by riding brakeless you mean riding at under 10 mph :-)
I still stand by my original comment that you don't need to skid, even if you're going fast, it's more about figuring out what's going to happen next, is there's an 'exit' in case the original line you chosen is blocked, certain part of the road where you can cane it without needing to dramatically slow down when approaching the nearest junction.
having says that, I still do skip stop though, which doesn't really wear the tyre that much, much more effective than a skid per se.

skid stopping is skidding!
I still think if you ride at 20+mph it is too fast to catch a pedestrian crossing, traffic lights etc,. and slow down with back pressure alone. Not much to figure out, the lights change and you need to stop before you reach them...

Nope, it depends on how fast you are going and how fast you need to stop.
(just keeping this going now to wind up snoops as he seems a bit highly strung)
This makes me totally wet....
