  • Nice frame, totally anti-porn build

  • Nice frame - thats about it though

  • Hinaults TT Rig

  • Personally I was more excited about the hub.
What the hell is it and where do i find one?

You can learn more about the hub here :
    http://akfixed.blogspot.com/2009/04/adams-fetish-part-2-scavenger-hunt.html

As you can read it is a custom road hub transformed into a track hub, the rims are Vento front / Gipiemme Techno 16h rear. I think he had problems afterward with the custom rear hub.

  • Thats the Specialized Shiv

Looks much better when in TT mode

fucking ace. that and the cevelo p4.
obviously a bit nuts throwing on a deep v and riding it around town. but what they hey...

  • Sorry if its already been posted!

  • That bartape looks really nice.

  • and the bars, any idea what they are?

  • I would rather trust the people who spend too much time dissecting every component. (and I don't mean the people on forums who just make stuff up). Bike shop people don't have the time, and sadly not always the interest.

I tend to know more about bikes/parts than people in bike shops and it isn't even my living!

I call bollocks on that! I haven't met you, but I bet you know lots about one specific area of cycling, try knowing lots about many areas of cycling.

Or have you just been to Evans?

  • and the bars, any idea what they are?

I´ll say they´re Nitto B127 (anatomical bend), I´m really keen in getting some for my Rap.

  • and the bars, any idea what they are?

    @max: look like B127's

    @sammy: who fucking cares?

EDIT: nuknow beat me to it.

  • @sammy: Who fucking cares?

Nice, I want a proper track bike :-(

Why am I so tall? Nuno if you see any 64cm+ lugged track frames give me a shout...

  • I wasn't disagreeing with you James1822, as my LBS is excellent and always gives good advice.

However, especially here in London it seems, you go into a shop and they steer you toeards a product which isn't right, you question it, and they get all flustered.

Anyways... This is is deviating considerably from the topic of this thread.

(This is where I would insert a picture of a lovely bike, sadly, I have none).

  • P.S. That's not to say that there aren't any good shops in London. There are!

Call what you want. I have been very interested in bikes for 35 years and have a nerdy side that means I like to know as much as possible. Over the 35 years I have ridden BMX, geared road, trials, fixed, cross, singlespeed, coaster braked etc,.etc. so I would say my experience is fairly wide.
That goes for many others too I would imagine and they don't work in bike shops either.

Worth remembering that bikes are straight forward so not exactly difficult to become very knowlegeable on given enough time.

  • +1 kerley.

    64? how tall are you?

  • Or have you just been to Evans?

i resent that, ok most evans aren't the best

    Wat. Cut FTW

  • I'm with the Crane. I reckon I must've dropped into the Cut about 20 times over the past 3 years or so and only met one numpty (who I now avoid). Maybe that's where they put all the good Evans employees. Having said that, there is a decent guy who works at London Bridge who has gone a fair way to help me out a few times.

    Will do... tough call though(t).

  • @arantrek haha who's the numpty? im begging you to tell me its a balding hungarian

  • 64? how tall are you?

    6'5"

For a lugged track bike with the correct amount of seatpost/saddle to bar drop I believe it would need to be that big.

  • Will do... tough call though(t).

Yeah very, thought you may come across something though as you're always on eBay and stuff. Thanks mate

  • 6'5 you must be even more out of proportion than me, i can fit on 60 with not a massive saddle/bar drop
