Harry.Major writes a lot of weird shit... He thinks Miche-hubs are shit quality because they use Italian thread lockring... So apprantly he would also think that Campagnolo and Phil makes poor quality hubs.. :)
haj, I think you may be talking out of your bumhole.

Wow, good post D.

guys no rear wheel is fully radially laced. it would destroy the hub under hard pedaling. I 100% guarantee you that there isn't a single bike wheel on earth like that. you need spoke to be tangential to the hub flanges if your going to be delievering any roatational force through the hub (either through the drive train or through disc brakes).
mdizzle just posted his bike in current projects with a rear radial to use on the velodrome.

^ Shit stirrer!

radial on non-drive side only
The driveside is definitely radial.

i see that people do actually do it now, but that doesn't make it sensible.

They are only good for looking at if internet wisdom is to be believed.

I'm not a fan of the lumpy rims at all.

I can't speak for the SLs but the Ksyrium SL Premiums are a joy to ride.ahem...
I know, I just thought I'd add extra insult to 31 litres rum. -

Maybe we should move the 'radial, hot-or-not' on to....
Straight pull spokes
Gimmick, purely for easier factory production, or
Stronger, as the bend in normal spokes is a design flaw....its one of my favourates

to clarify things i run a rear radial laced half the spoke heads facing out, half facing in, on a 36hole Vzan rim laced to a dura ace rear hub.It is used purely on the track, so no sudden stopping forces, and with the exception of starts no sudden changes in speed.
I built the wheel myself, and with the exception of a re-true 3 weeks after it was built when the spokes bedded in, i have done nothing to it.
I have been running it 8 weeks, with training 3 times a week, and so far there have been no problems...but i will keep you informed of any developments...I am at home today, but will post some pictures of the wheel tomorrow when i go to the track!

Doesn't feel like a repost, but defintely know what you mean, I love that Cannondale with the skinny rims and modern/classic crank, the other one that has been posted here before is this slighty more hipster version with phils and velocity amongst other;
I know folks love these and im sure they are a nice bike, but i reckon the lugged fork crowns look totally out of place on something with fat tubes.
-
• #22747
i agree balki but thats the OG fork i beleive

this page made me feel dizzy, i didn't like this page at all.
i am still in the bike porn thread? -

I was talking about the hubs specifically, but that wasn't clear. I question internet wisdom generally, and this thread is a prime example, but on this I really have an issue with it as I know lots of people who are both happy with their Ksyriums, and also have had many miles of trouble free riding on them.
I've added you to that list.

Can't remember if this is a repost or not... it may have even been me that posted it first time round if so..
FIT. I was having a good drool over Nasty's Cannondale track this weekend. I defiantly want one.
Who was it who was making a frame copying the geo recently?
