Makes sense, although not sure how you can move the position of the BB and not have to adjust the chain?
what i meant was, as the dropouts are quite long there is no need to use the chain link tool to adjust the length of the chain. Sorry for the confusion.

Ha! +1
(but it has to be way overpriced!..cranks alone r over 3k)Looks like he'd run out of money by the time he got round to sorting out a rear wheel.

Does that mirror come in 'boozehound' as well?

The latest Hed Jet Disc is a non-structural cover over a spoked wheel. The air flow doesn't care about structure or cost, only shape.

Utter bollox. The top of the line avid BB7s were a revelation for me having previously used Hayes hydraulics brakes. I've tried to find fault with them but can't. They stood up to a UK winter punishment and came back for more.
That doesn't prove that BB7s are the dogs knob (and I have used them), it rather shows that whatever Hayes brakes you had were shit (or they were set up by a shit mechanic, as the blame should fall where it is actually due). Avid BB7s are leagues ahead of rim brakes, but leagues behind my Shimano XT 755/6 hydraulics for modulation, power and convenience. I've had the Shimanos on both MTBs since 2002-3 and have never had to touch them except for pad changes, unlike the BB7s which have to be adjusted altogether too frequently to compensate for cable stretch and pad wear.
BB7's are the nuts, i have them on both my 'disc equpped' bikes (for the record - both custom bikes) and i chose to run those for the simplicity and performance, i actually ran magura marta SL's before but i had a hose pop on me up in scotland 20 miles from anywhere with no way to fix them, since then, i have used BB7's and a spare cable is carried at all times - IMHO BB7 is the choice of a mtber with his priorities in order - the fact that they are cheap is just a mega bonus.
p.s i am looking forward to them releasing a lighter version though!

Schweet bike, are those carbon sections in the toptube/seat tube/seat stays?
-
• #22369
yup.
-
• #22370
makes literally no difference to ride quality though on the top and seattube, just saves a few grams and looks pimpin, i used to have a similar frame for off road

WANT!

^ Fuckin plus 1,000!! I was gonna say exactly the same thing.
Want :-(

It might look nice, but its gonna need some outrageously stiff tubing on seat stays that long, if its not gonna flex like a soggy noodle, and ride like shit.

• #22374
I'm sure Geekhouse have thought of that though James.

Shame about the frame.
(Dracula's I presume)
