Yeah, they have that bike built up at the Mercian shop, Paul SMmith has done the same design in about 4 other colour sets as well. And there's nothing wrong with hf Phils on a Merc!

What has the UCI got to do with it.
The fact that UCI set a weight limit doesn't encourage bike makers to make track frames really light.
I have no intention of entering any UCI controlled event and neither do 99.n% of any of cyclists.
That's what I also mentioned. But you have to deal with the consequences of the point writen above, if you like it or not. I don't want to argue about the %

Yep, I realised that. I also think it has as much to do with track being a different game for the manufacturers. They don't need to make a road frame as light as 800g or whatever some of them are but they do it to compete with the other companies. That competition doesn't exist in track frames.
In reality the UCI limit should be lower for track anyway due to absence of gears and brakes! But for the reasons you state, I shall never have my 1kg track frame.

I was on an net date with an employee of Paul Smith recently and apparenty he makes fart noises, ie vroom vroom, while he rides his stupid mercian eyesore around his offiice and he is an arsehole too.

Paul Smith is actually a proper cyclist, take part in races etc. before he become a fashion designer, he's forced to quit racing due to a bad injury he recieved during a race.
he also ride a brakeless fixed wheel bicycles for shit and giggle.
he's probably an arseholes, who know, but he's defintely isn't doing a Tony Dafoney.
