unfortunately you missed the boat by about a year.
no longer builds frames, you probably couldn't have afforded on anyway ;)then again, i'm sure if you took that pic to someone who knew their craft i'm sure they'd be able to make you that bar/stem combo no trouble at all. the original hammerhead was a bargin at only $250 so theres bound to be someone in the uk who could do it cheaper.
Robin Mather come to mind, as well as Hufnagel (US) and Carrion Cycle Works, that's as far as I know thought.

And, for a "form follows function" exercise, this is quite brilliant.

Where did you find that? that thing is a work of beauty, what wheel size it is? it look somewhat bigger than 29".
-
• #19584
Okay, so they're not racers with drops, but the attention to detail is extraordinary!
I've never seen such a beautifully thought out and built bike, for a height challenged person. -

Engin Cycles. Geniuses. I can't believe how drool-worthy (some of) their stuff is.

HOLY FUCKING SHIT!
What amazing way to ruin a beautiful bike. That bar and stem combo is horrible.

They're 29er wheels on a bike for someone about 5' 3" tall.
Personally i think 29ers aren't right for short riders...as is the case there they end up with toe overlap, fuck all clearance and a bike that looks wrong in my opinion. 26" is better for a person of that height. As for the attention to detail...sure it's beautiful, but it's a mountain bike...that SHOULD get covered in mud and water and be ridden hard off road...i don't see a lot of point in having that kind of finish on a bike designed to be ridden that way.
Just my opinion, but they're too showy for mountain bikes. If i was gonna spend that amount i'd just go for raw titanium personally.
I'm sure they'll love them at the shows though. -

I could probably make something like that if i learned how. I'm going into my 3rd year in fine art and we have the tools and equipment i suppose

don't know if that was meant to be funny or not but it made me chuckle - just what I needed after a crap morning.
I could perform brain surgery, if I learned how.

I'm sure they'll love them at the shows though. The blue one does seem to be doing the 'track bike' rear tyre kissing the seat tube trick. Not really a good thing on a off-roader.
I find the whole short rider - 29er compatibility thing pretty interesting being 5'7" (and a bit). The easiest way to tweek geometry is to have a really slack head tube angle, to shorten the top tube and reduce top overlap. But this is'nt ideal. I still think, even at my height, you put together a great riding 29er though.
This lady is 5'5" but looks pretty well fitted to her Spotbrand Longboard (really make me impatient about finishing mine off).
