i actually rather like how complicated it looks, and im all about CNC stuff at the moment so to me this is just porn. i respect the craftsmanship. i actually reckon it works really well, and it is fully adustable so itl fit whatever wheel you like.
with that said ill porbably never have one, its purely a bling componant. im very happy with standard brakes and i dont think my riding experience would improve with fancier brakes. i also like the M5 single pivot!
that Manitou is fucking amazing.

I fondly remember my old GT bike of the mid-90s but I forget what it called, L2000 or something (downhill rigs), Steve Peat used to ride those bike, do you know of it Scott?

Mid-nineties GT full suspension bikes were the RTS series (from about 1992?), the LTS series (from about 1995?) and also the STS (from 1996 - the carbon LTSs).
I think that the L2000 would have been a fairly low in the range LTS, so about 1997?
The RTS design philosophy makes them somewhat redundant now, but they did look cool. Check it:
Again, I can see this being anti-porned pretty quickly.

That's right, the LTS range, and it's defintely not that bike, let me try and find it.

Oh, and Scott, do you know what happened to Rond?

GT LTS-2000
I fucking love that bike, part of me wish I hasn't replace it with the Kona Stinky Dee-Lux;
I really want to go back down to South France again and have a blast, pity I sold them all since I has no use for them in London, it's like owning an SUV and only use it off road for 2 weeks a year.

I know, that is an RTS. The LTS was a four bar linkage, like the Specialized ones of the same era.
Your would have been like this:

never a fan of the LTS - but the STS had a certain charm had an RTS though! they were something!
steve peat rode a LOBO, probably what you're thinking of ed, a much sexier looking linkage although i seem to remember not a very successful one.
