Not really, I seen Nitto Pro quill stem set really high almost at the max insertion mark and everyone seemed to see this as acceptable.

pretty much, the only one I can find with a gigantic sweep is the Soma one;
Surly Torsion Bar has 15 degrees. Looks nice, but may be a little wide for the "spice route.
4140 steel, made by Nitto

whats so great about those bars?! i cant see that angling the flats can do anything other than make them very uncomfortable.
also if you ride on drops with an open hand/wrists up then it can be more comfortable to pull when doing hills/getting upright and diggin

Most good flat bars used to come in 3 sweeps...or they always did back in my MTB days.
There's more out there than just Nitto remember. :)Thats what I thought (bit long in the tooth myself though).
Maybe it's different nowadays seeing as risers ar more common in mtbing?
True, but 29" wheels are bringing thm back.

not UCI legal though.
Come on Ed, you're loosing your touch. The bar stem setup on that white Yama' is rediculous!!! It goes all the way, then all the way down with a million spacers . . . Fail!
Frame is sweet tho. :)
