For Carbon and Alu it is aesthetically stunning and light anyway. Nothing to compare with those cheesy stealth sweetshop frames...
lish.
got a frame made from the ol' vitus steel. very nice indeed. -

Note to LOOK - apparently you got the geometry all wrong on the 396, this bloke the forum says so. I suggest you immediately do a product recall.
They already replaced it with the 496, and now the 596 is going to replace that. Not sure how many sizes of 396 they made, but both examples above look like somebody forcing the wrong sized frame to fit them, which isn't Look's fault. If all 396s have to be set up with the Ergostem in a Z shape, that is Look's fault.

it is designed for 650c, it's the fork that doesn't belong to the bike (note how the top tube sloped almost upward).

Well, at the risk of bickering.... The 396 was one of the most successful track frames of its generation. Ridden to victory at international and Olympic level. So I think it would be fair to say they didn't "get the geometry wrong".

Looking at seat tube lengths (which seem to be about right), I'd say your first comment regarding bikes designed to be ridden by track pros, being set up for amatuer road use is more likely.

Not the wrong geometry just the wrong (not the right word really, unintended would be better) use.

Depends on what you mean by 'wrong'. The 396 was undoubtedly effective, but if the geometry makes the set up look aesthetically displeasing then it's wrong for the porn thread. Not wishing to be down on Look (I have a 585, so I'm hardly a Look-hater), but their record of Olympic and World medals probably has more to do with their extensive sponsorship of top national track teams than any inherent superiority of their frames over the competiton.

ed, for future reference, the correct conjugation for lust in the context that you're using it is "lustful".

look like he finished with his bike, a hit or miss, but defintely a hit for me for originality, the wheels that he build is fucking lush when painted black.
That's an amazing looking bike, the only thing is that having a vertical seat tube looks a little strange. I do like the sort of 'arrow' effect though

Don't really like how it turn out fork not even original) but love the paintjob on that frame;
looks as if its built for a 700 up front, but that would make the toe overlap too much
