  • i don't think 2.5 secs over 4k, is a great performance gain in materials...........but then i don't race.

24 metres at 35 km/h avg. A fair old gap - for the same power output.

  • ok,ok, what about on the rollers??? :)

It's plenty of margin for racing, but against an IF 953 (*soi-disant *pinnacle of steel frames) it's also free; IF953 is $3600, equating to £2700 with VAT, a lighter and stiffer Pinarello XTrack is £2040 at Evans and you can have it in time for the track day.

Below about £400~500, steel track frames can hold their own with the modest aluminium offerings at the price point, but once you're above that, you're spending money on art, not porn.

  • porn can be art, have you not seen Ass Traffic 3?!

  • i like art and individuality in a bike.
I also think steel is more of an utility material rather than a competitive one for bikes.
It makes more sense to build a bike for life out of steel than anything else

    titanium?

  • doesn't titanium fatigue ? less so that aluminium but still.

  • honestly, you're asking the wrong person. i was only feigning knowledge.

  • doesn't titanium fatigue ?

Only in the same way as steel, in the sense that certain Ti alloys (including the ones bikes are made from) have a certain stress level below which their fatigue life becomes infinite.

  • nice one, you're my new favourite ;)

  • ok,ok, what about on the rollers??? :)

At 60km/h, a 100g weight saving would allow a speed increase of 0.1km/h at the same power. That would allow you to do about 2 extra crank revolutions in a 10 minute interval :-)

  • are we doing maths?

    for that reason, i'm out.

  • that is absolutely stunning, although i'm more concerned about the girl popping her head out the seat tube! do they build japanese mail-order brides into the frames now to save on postage?

    shut up you stupid cock.

  • pretty piece of engineering

  • Repost but a worthy one :-)

  • this frame shape is perfect. bars and Colgate seat only Qs I have...http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3238/2972443321_cf8f717425_b.jpg

  • they're your only Qs??? I have many other Qs myself. I am replete with Qs.

  • A very simple bike, but love how it look;

  • agreed, it looks nice, largely because it's a good photo.

  • Get your drift but I always seem to be drawn to Bridgestones for some reason, think it's just silly things like the style of font(looks ace). Could be tempted to a LEVEL myself or even a Bomber Pro

Bomber Pro porn coming to a Current Projects thread near you soon... :D

  • Bomber Pros are sweeet.

    In fact they're 531... No... they're Ass Traffic 3!!!
