yeah definately going to get a 75 ring on mine, and well, i may do the colouring myself, shouldn't be too hard, any suggestions on how i can do this? i am thinking model paint just dropped into the grooves on the logo etc, it's easily removed with turps, but want something that's gonna be long lasting....

nail varnish should work or that stuff you use for painting little warhammer figurines and airfix kits I think called humbrol?

Surface preparation is probably more important than the paint. Make sure you get them really clean and thoroughly degreased. After that, Humbrol gloss enamel http://www.humbrol.com/paints/enamel-paints/ is going to be easiest, you might want to use a primer first to be really thorough.
