While I'm at it, here's another of my bikes.
Do you like the Time Atac pedals? They make more sense on the Quinn than on a road race bike; most of the stuff on the Quinn is sensible, it's just not porn. That's why readers' wives are derided - the owner always thinks they're much hotter than a dispassionate observer does.

ives, nice bikes. Are you from St. Ives?
Post those pics along with your mugshot in this thread:

Went to the design museum a week ago and saw this New Trek Single Speed it has a rubber belt drive train and a freewheel. I don't know how well a fixie would work with rubber band drive could be fun.Zebra

that "rubber band" as you put it is pretty strong, if it can deal with the stress of a car or motorbikes engine, it'll be more than strong enough to be use on a bike.
As for fixed wheel belt drive - already happened;

I don't think belt drive qualifies as porn at this point... did you notice they never actually show the coupler in that youtube video?
Sounds like an interesting concept for certain uses... but I have my doubts it will go far outside of the hybrid/utility/commuter market.
I'm curious how well the belt works in terms of stopping on a fixed if it loses tension (due to wheel slippage for instance).

it already exist, there have been a dozen (especially custom made bike) that are already being sold to the public.

like I said, if it can withstand the sheer torque (even a mere 60bhp) of a motorised vehicle engine, it shouldn't be a problem with human.
-

My question isn't whether it can handle torque, it's how well the belt will respond to being compressed if you're trying to stop using your legs... and particularly how will it deal with going in one direction, and then quite suddenly the other (what I was really getting at was, if the belt were a little more slack than ideal, how would it perform then).
Time will tell... being used in even 1000 bikes doesn't mean it will stand the test of time.
PS: and what's this internet thing I'm on? There was nothing wrong with semaphore!

i dont like the way those basket bars put all the weight on the stem. stems are not desinged to take that much weight, and the ribbed interface surely isnt going to be enough to hold the whole weight of a full basket. plus what do you do when your not using it, carry a stupid empty basket everywhere. thats completely antiporn to me, especially the desecration of that lovely nagasawa.

Since you're posting this spam in every F.ing thread, can I at least get a good price on some of these?

Honestly, I'd want the fuckers to pedal for me at that price.

Those Mavics were the worst fitting pair of shoes I've ever tried on, so i bought some Ergo 2's instead. I know some who thought the exact opposite though, huh.
Also arn't they identical to the Adidas ones? ... I'll find a pic ...
I could
