Would a glow-in-the-dark bike ever really glow in london though?
don't they need to go from a source of good light for them to absorb the light to pretty much pitch black for it to be visible?
Surely dusk and light pollution would mean that it will be a dull glow that doesn't really last very long?
i was trying to look into reflective paint, which I think would work better, but I struggled to find any suitable in the UK.. or there are sticker kits cut to a generic bike frame that you can alter but i think that'd probs look a bit gash

Yes, thats right. You really do need to charge up glow in the dark paint. I had a HED3 sprayed with House Of Kolor glow in the dark paint - meant to be one of the best for custom car nuts. It only really glows if you put it in bright light for quite a long time. I would be cautious about spending a lot of money on such a paint job as it probably won't be quite a bling as you expect/would like

And the 'colour' looks shit during the day

Glow in the dark paint is a bit of a gimmick really....as said, you need to charge it properly...preferably under UV light...but it does still glow in half light but obviously the effect is better in darkness....though they never glow for long tbh.

Depends on the paint....mine is a really nice cream colour by day...not the urine yellow of most of them...you wouldn't even expect mine to be glow in the dark unless you knew.

I reckon using the 3M paint that Velocity use on their ELVS products would be much more effective than glow in the dark paint for us city slickers no?? All you need for that to shine is some light (headlights work a treat) and it doesn't need to be pitch dark... there's always plenty of light in the city at night time :)

Future porn from the past indeed; features from this bike have started appearing on the new prototype Specialized (and Giant/Highroad.dev too), notably the long extension of the bayonet fork into a splitter

He was given it as a present from Pharell.
Brooklyn machine works have been using glow in the dark paint on their bikes for over 10 years now.
Currently using some myself on my lo-pro too. :)
