Awesome tied & soldered wooden wheels, badly laced.
The rest of the bike is lush.

agreed, plus not a big fan of disc brakes on these vintage looking builds (might as well have no brakes at all if its fixed)

obviously takes a skilled hand to craft a frame like that, but I think it's hideous. anti!

This was for sale on US ebay recently. I wish I brought it. One of the first very first US 'funny bikes' used at the Pan American games just before the LA Olympics. From a bike design point of view it is pure porn

Why is the brake there on that Naked? Horrible, ghastly. Its a bit Jodie Marsh.

yeah its ghastly for the trained eye, but i think there's something in all these custom retro bikes.
Its really like a modern Bugatti for the posh one, a luxurious custom cycle for a collector, nothing more. They are like prototypes, and prototypes are in a class of their own, you cant compare them to an ordinary machine. -

i'd have 2 fork blades though -

there are elements of that wooden rim bike that are nice, but as whole its horrible. the bars look fucking awful and seriosuly uncomfortable. the frame is a lovely excercise of making a wierd extravigant frame, the seatstray bridge is a nice tough and i like the cut out sections. nice frame, bad bike.
i love peacocks anyway so i love this. if it had a llama on the other side i would probably buy it instantly.

All that bespoke bling then a £2 crappy MX lever stuck on? - Aside from them being somewhat crude (they have charm on simple bikes) they actually wouldnt work properly with a mechanical disc brake which are designed to be used with V brake levers.
ed you are posting the same message all the time :{) is it one of your handy shorthand examples?
