I built that bike up... The stem is a Cinelli pista, which apart from the Deda pista is the only track a-head stem on the market (I think?)
Pro Vibe track stem is porn, and follows the modern trend of short head tubes with up sloping stems:

Is this the geriatric version off bike porn? I'm sure I've seen similar parked up near the shuffleboard courts, near the retirement mobile-home parks in Melbourne, Florida.

ah probably to keep the weight down in order to make it portable (BMW are quite hefty), plus it look tighter than the normal fork.

I have the correct recipe for a trick bike, and It does not include those disgusting BMX looking forks. Its a track bike FFS,lets keep it that way.If you want to ride it like a BMX,then would'nt it make sense to just ride a BMX.
I ride BMX so I'm bound to like the aesthetic of them and I make no apologies for bringing those forks to the masses. I bought a set for my polo bike because I wanted a bombproof fork and I'd used a pair for 6 years on my mountain bike with no complaints.I would agree with you that they look like overgrown BMX forks but most of the people riding them are using them for polo (which outright kills bikes) or are emulating BMX tricks, there are also very few competent fixed wheel freestylers who still run "proper track bikes" and I believe this is due to the strength issue.

Yes I gives a big AMEN to that brother.Old style frame with new style components, just plain silly, but it was built by a silly poser, and what the fuck is that BMW ripoff bike. You lot are really clueless about this trick thing, but it will all show come competition time, when your so called crew gets pissed all over by an 11 year old.
You got told pancake boy.D 34 N
didn't you put a brooks on a bike that was labled in graffiti "swagger"?
