It’s probably very well made but there’s nothing porn about it. No unusual components or unique frame features and a bland paintjob.

Throwing old 8s gear on a modern frameset strikes me as fairly unusual, even unique, come to think of it.

I'm not sure you could find a slimmer 9/8 to 5/4 stem.

And if I get this build, it seems to be partly about showcasing that gorgeous old Record group in a modern context, perhaps why the bike is boring black, but then there's the level top tube, chromed stays and 90s bend on the bars...

But whatever the case, you basically couldn't build a proper new bike with a quill stem these days, and a good thing too, because they suck balls: noodly as hell and a 1" clamp on drop bars ain't worth shit.

Polished headset and/or stem? It's got the chrome stays, kinda needs something up front

I like that it doesn't have an all silver front end, maybe only a silver headset would be nice, to match the seatpost

I have 600ax and a couple of DA and they work well - for the age of course 😀

In any case the braking is approximate indeed ^^

On hot days, that FD might clip the chainring. Although I'm not it has an inner ring at all to shift to.
