Cromovelato is a clear tinted laquer over a chromed frame. It is very difficult as the laquer must be applied very evenly to get a uniform finish. They chip easily because of the chrome under the paint, and are near impossible to touch up.
It looks fantastic if done well. -

Freschi was brilliant but not well known. I think he started out at Pogliaghi.
He sometimes put pulleys at the bottom bracket instead of cable tunnels for smoother shifting.
I have never seen a Rigi style one before. -
