http://www.rollingstone.com/rockdaily/index.php/2007/12/26/iron-maiden-live-out-aces-high-in-most-metal-jet-ever/Well done,
JackBruce Dickinson offers a package tour where he flies people to Iron Maiden gigs himself, slays dragons, eats satan as an appetizer, rules harder than almost anyone else ever, and then is in Iron Maiden. I think it costs about four grand. Pretty cool guy (Olympic fencer, commercial pilot, heavy metaller).[/quote]
Holy shit, he's an olympic fencer? I know what I want for my birthday now.

Only just seen this... Many (many) years ago, when I was a guitar-mangler by trade, Bruce Dickinson directed my band's only video, t'was a disaster... We'd written a very silly homo-erotic, Kenneth Anger-esque treatment for the video with a bit of live performance and some scenes of a young girl (she was 15) toting machine guns/knives etc.
We wound up with a really boring performance vid with cut-away shots of this young girl looking moody/hell bent on murder, there were some unintentionally hilarious bits but none of the arty bollocks we really wanted... The scary thing (on reflection) was when Bruce kept asking the girl to take all her kit off, suck the machine gun muzzle suggestively and dance around a fire (we objected very strongly of course, she was almost in tears) as well as loads of other pretty tasteless stuff... It was bound to happen really, we didn't see it comin' tho'...
Top fella but absolutely barkin'...
He had an awesome original pair of Gene Simmons' stage boots in his house, which I had to try *really *hard not to steal... Ah, the memories...
I'll get my coat... ;-)
