they slept at my pad the week before moving from the states to england to satisfy the drummer's residence status. Strange twist of fate, because once they moved there, they had a cover shot on Q, and blew up.
there's a lot of music here in the states that sounds like that stuff. Most of them come from Anton Newcombe in one way or another. They usually play guitar(CLICK) in his band then he fires them, and they go on to form their own bands(CLICK), such as BRMC.
He's certainly too bright and too ill for his own good. I've personally seen him swing a Telecaster at the head of another man and connect. Watch this interview and laugh a little bit.
What, like in your house?
How could that have ended up happening.Ha, i see your Anton interview and rasie you, one of their best songs..

I walked from new york and back from LA, I lived on a mountain and once by the bay, I bought an apartment and slept in the hay, but there's no place that's softer than (your arms)

I am -- well we are close with Anton. When ever a band comes through that knows Anton they end up partying with us. Anton has passed out on my front lawn still holding a 5th. Fun guys. But also that's a passed life. I don't party like that anymore, and if they wanted to crash at my place, i'd be reluctant. It's just too much. BRMC on the other had are very very civilized gents. Quiet, and polite.

That Anton interview is absolutely classic. Much like that section from Dig! when he's handing out records on rollerskates...its kinda sad how fucked up he is.

Nonsense, he's Morrisons through and through. Think he's a bit like Marmite but I really like his debut album.

Revisiting the last Animal Collective album this week. You know how you hammer something on release then end up being sick to death of it? Well I'm back into this one, apart from the irritating 'My Girls', it's a corker.

Yeah i agree, though i do find he tends to use compression to the arse end of the universe and back sometimes which is a bit fatiguing to listen to.
Body riddle is my favorite album, sounds very much like BOC in my opinion.
