The only benefit i can see to those tracks is playing them back through a single speaker on a cheap mobile phone, up full volume in the street, doesn't actually degrade the tune... says it all really

and thats another thing, who the fuck takes videos at gigs and watches them on mobile phones! the train on the way back sunday was peppered with with people squinting at mobile screens, watching a shakey kaleidoscope of blurs whilst listening to tinny shit. it was The Enemy on stage.. . apparently! oooh it was just like fucking being there.. thank you for that

greasy, this is the one thread on this forum that has remained free of animosity. if you don't like it, why don't you just post a tune that you do like? there has been a quite a lot of music posted that I dislike .. but i'm not calling them up on it deriding their music as utter shit.

Yeah i've noticed that trend to, music being engineered to sound good on mobile phones speakers/as ringtones! Music is much more disposable these days ...

Completely, it needs a catchy hook that inevitably gets irritating after about a week. There is also a massive trend to tracks and not albums. This is a big loss to music IMO.
