You use Limewire? I'd get your anti-virus program to do a scan of your computer...
Ive used it for many many years with no problems at all, what other options are there? Im pretty well protected with various different security protection, not ever had any viruses or bugs at all

BitTorrent
http://www.mininova.org/ - Search for what you want, download the small '.torrent' file and open it up with...
http://www.utorrent.com/ - choose where you want to save it.Unlike LimeWire, you're not just downloading a file off of someone's computer (anything could be in that file for all you know), with BitTorrent you download small parts form lots of people. There are also loads of specialist torrent websites, where the users source brand new/very old/rare material to share.

You can still download viruses and stuff through torrents but it's easier to spot things that are wrong or a bit strange through looking at the file types and the feedback that other downloaders leave

Exactly, read comments left, use torrents which have a lot of people seeding/downloading.
