If you're into Gino Soccio you should also check Giorgio Moroder, ace producer, did loads of film/TV soundtracks. Gay, space disco at it's finest :-)

A lot of Italian House was heavily influenced by guys such as Moroder and Soccio and the like. To be honest a lot of their stuff sounds more innovative and fresh than a lot of early House of the late 80's/early 90's
I was also listening to some late 80's Larry Heard stuff before, another musical genius. Again, so fresh sounding and tight as fuck production -

Awesome fucking record. Was just playing it loud as fuck in my flat, such a fresh sounding track. Gino Soccio is a LEG-END! Check out the album 'Outline', classic. Deadly track on there called 'So Lonely' which features the birds of paradise noises which have been sampled to fuck on tracks such as 'Sueno Latino' and 'Pacific State' by 808 State

not really, the album its off is a collection of stuff from 53 - 69 and what i've read nobody seems to knew when 'lightworks' was recorded but most people suggest 50's. whenever it was its a sweeet tune well ahead od its time.
