if you liked any of the Shabaka and the Ancestors albums I would check out ikhambi by nduduzo makhathini, he plays piano in the ancestors and this 2017 release on universal south Africa deserves a bigger audience.

Saw them open for RFTC a couple of years ago, really good.

I've been waiting for them to come over for ages, they came to Oz last year but were only booked to play in Melbz... A mate managed to convince them to play a show in Sydney on a day off, I very nearly flew down for it I was that desperate to see them...

Weird show, free gig at Brissy's bar/gaming arcade place... My mate in San Diego is good mates with them and has been screaming about how great they are for ages, fabulous to finally see them and say hi...

They've just cancelled the Japan leg of their tour, covid is a bitch...

.....is a brilliant album. Playing Manchester soon, but will probably get cancelled due to current global events.
