last night popped down to cowley road to catch wonderstuff supporting pil; the former paled into insignificance by the weight of sound from the latter. plenty of grey haired old geezers bouncing for half a song before collapsing. i thought edmonds and firth made a fair job of filling levene and wobble's shoes. and love him or loathe him, lydon's antics raise more of a smile than bile nowadays.
