Not the biggest fan of Lykke Li but some of her song do catch.
Lykke Li - I follow rivers - YouTube
and
Lykke Li - I Know Places - YouTube
Reminded me of Tina Dickow for some reason... Tina Dico - Let's Get Lost - YouTube
Tina Dico - In The Red - YouTube
Saw her at Ronnie Scotts with my girlfriend at the time about 5 years ago... no youtube recording can possibly come close to getting across how good her voice is. Don't think there were many people left in there who weren't in a bit of a trance

Thanks, that's a great site, though haven't gone very deep yet.

No, they're going to spread it across a couple of years alphabetically which is a bit annoying. A friend is working with the Arts Council to help curate it. What's annoying for me is that it requires a spotify account to actually play the content (which in turn requires a facebook account - which I do not want/will not get).
But for those with spotify, eventually it could be a great resource to discover some great music.

really liking this album at the moment, especially the 'aphrodite' track. i wasn't sure about the out-of-tune stuff to begin with but after listening to it a few times i think it's so carefully done that it works. see what you think

BRETON - EDWARD THE CONFESSOR - YouTube
Deborah Washington: Shortest Lady - YouTube
Also just got Ekstasis by Julia Holter, after all the amazing stuff I read about that record the jury is still out, moments of greatness, but still not sure...

A senseless things bootleg gig recording from Birmingham in 1989... I love pop bands that believe that pop should be played on noisy electric guitars at a pace that means a 3 minute song clocks in at under 2.
i was a senseless things fan - even have one of their jamie hewlett t shirts somewhere
+1. Have some novelty vomit-coloured vinyl 45's of theirs in the collection as well.
