pretty much my favourite song of all time:
Man, that version's got nothing on this, for me anyway

The Wake - Here Comes Everybody
Awesome Scottish 80s indie. Everything the first Primal Scream album wanted to be but failed horribly.

Yep, as covered by the ace Wild Nothing:

Having said that, I did quite like Treasure Trip back in the day:

Listening to The Wake has made me feel like digging out some Arab Strap.

Just realised what a busy weekend I've had. Went to see Algernon Cadwallader and 1994! on Saturday afternoon, then Let's Wrestle (friends band, not really my cup of tea) on Sat night then Tall Ships (more friends, more my cup of tea) on Sunday. Got tickets to see Lemuria and Cheap Girls next week and realised I'm not here :(
This sounds like something I listened to when I was 16 but it's bloody stuck in my head:

Where did they play? Didn't even realise they were touring. And I missed the Joan of Arc tour...fail

me too.
i don't think that much of algernon caldawallader or whatever they're called though.. they just seem a bit like another band heavily indebted to cap'n jazz/kinsella, but about 15 years too late.. -

best one right? right?
right.
me neither. Some of his stuff i love, and others really not up my street, but then I'm like that with a lot of music.
People in the bar I'm working in asked what sort of music I was into hadn't heard of any of it, so took control of the music duties last night (phone plugged into pub/resturant amp), they all loved it, even some of the punters. People in the hotel above, probably didn't approve quite so much though :p
