The Ephgrave and Hetchins Hilary Stone is selling were both at the Herne Hill Jumble.
I got there at 9am. He probably arrived around 7:30, or camped overnight.
When he left, his Mercedes estate was stuffed with old and collectable frames which probably cost £25 apiece.
i wish i had gone to herne hill and camped out over night :-)

i dont get what's so nice about these old frames, for me at least they don't look so good as more modern equivalents.

I think it's a matter of taste, with the addition of rarity value. You can always recoup your outlay on a Hetchins or a vintage Aston Martin, but looks are for the individual.

I love my Ron Cooper road conversion so much; the market downturn sucks!! This could be stunning.....
Still think it's a little pricey and may go for a jaw dropping price.

British built bikes only seem to go for a premium when they're not in the UK.
Or if purchased by foreigners.
If the Ron Cooper was in London it would struggle to get to the current price.

So if you want to save on a 3Rensho go to Japan, or Italy for an cheap Colnago.
Because the shoppers there are all looking for a Mercian.

Just listed these on ebay as I didn't really know what to value them at for sale on here as the left hand arm is damaged. If you're interested though PM me an offer and I'll pull them.
