cheap shit cranks - don't be fooled by the sugino label. notice how they drill the pedal thread higher up the crank to give effective 165mm, but without manufacturing a different crank length

Theyve always been referred to as droputs on BMX's which have the same shape as track bikes. Ive never liked the term 'track ends' just sounds pompous & ott
No, BMX riders were referred to as dropouts.
You feel free to call them whatever you want and I'll continue to call them whatever I want. Easy isn't it?
-
• #8730
I was referring to the hole in the fork not them ^^

to hippy:
I am not questioning Your knowledge... dropouts, track ends, fork ends - who cares...
i'm just being sarcastic...:))) sheldon brown wrote somewhere that he hates term "dropout", and it should be called track ends - shame I have to explain to You what sarcasm means... (I'm being sarcastic again:::)
Merry Christmas to everyone!!!I thought you were accusing me of plagiarism or something sinister. Forget it.
Have a merry dropout and a happy new fork-end! ;) -

Is that a pitcher/catcher question?

Are you going to break this up Dogballs?
We were nearly in the position of outbidding each other...
Looks like you might have got a bit of a bargain nonetheless.
Frame's too small for me - but might be interested in the wheels and seatpost if you're splitting. -
• #8740
link ? that frame looks spot on for me ......
-
• #8741
Linking to something that a forumger has already won feels a bit wrong somehow.
But I can give you the frame description in full 'cos the seller didn't really go overboard:"Ken James 531c 57cm track frame with campag seat pin and head set rolls seat."

Nice one there, Sir Balls. Bargainous maximus. -

Same on that Ken. Almost bid and had no way of picking it up for about 3 weeks.
More than i wanted to pay as the wheels etc where surplus.
-
• #8746
I think I may make a move for that fort.
-
• #8747
it is just too small for me. otherwise i would be on it. the fort forks are ugly though.
-
• #8748
Luckily 58 is the smallest I could go (on a track bike)...
-
• #8749
how tall are you?
-
• #8750
Bloomin' eck that must of been some crash to bend the forks like that. But as the seller says "can all be sorted out easily"
Hmmm
