This bike seems reaasonable - £220 for 60cm fixed conversion. Suitable for a (mechanical) beginner? OKAY its not a serious bargain but looks good, newish parts, available now, could be right for someone..?

just got back from belgium on Monday and now I find this on ebay.be:
,
€350 and you could probably get it for less since no-one seems to be interested. And from the same guy:
for €125, way too small for me but I guess I could make someone happy with it here. Does anyone know what it would cost to ship these to London? what's the cheapest company to do it with? [shit, I so wish I'd seen this last week...] -

mmm, white bike pretty

that carlton above isn't mine, but I have one very similar, here in london. How much do we think it'll go for?
Mine has 27" wheels, so perhaps that one does too.
Don't know whether to ebay it or advertise it. It's not in great shape.......... -

Get it pressed and it'll be fine. Most of the harsh creases wil come out or if out of wallet, throw some cotton over it and iron the creases out.
Then frame the blighter. -
• #788
Yes.
It needs to be Pressed and Steamed.

That Mercian frame
It would fit me & I'm looking for a tight project frame.
Isn't it a touring model?
Does anyone know if it take 700c?
I don't want one of those big old bikes with a long wheel baseI have asked the seller a question, lets see

700c easy, reasonable tight. who cares for that price, it's a mercian!

never! 27x1/4 only, you'll never get a front brake on without swapping the forks out for 700c ones.... well, u will get a brake on, but no modern brakes will fit..... f**king good price though.... I'd buy it if it fit, just get a set of chrome forks, BLB, £30 done.... or ride brakeless then wheelsize is not an issue for u.
Road frame though and it has one of those stupid French threaded BB's. Buyer beware. :)
