It’s important to challenge these things
Since the 'these things' you were challenging was my original post, here goes;
I have always used the term 'Man-Sized' as interchangeable with the word 'Large'. When used in this context, the term 'Man-Sized', is none gendered.
When I referred to a Jack Hearne tourer for sale as 'Man-Sized', I simply meant that it was a large frame - which at 60cm it is. I think that that meaning would be fairly clear to most users of this forum.
It never crossed my mind to think that women would be excluded from or unable to use this frame. Like M_V, I know several women who could comfortably ride it.
It also never crossed my mind to think that women tall enough to ride this frame are somehow more 'manly' - that is, in fact, a ridiculous thought.
Furthermore, it never crossed my mind to suggest, or imply that a more diminutive man, unable to use this frame because of his height, was somehow less manly than a taller man.
All of these things appear to have happened in your head, not mine. I'm frankly astonished that you have derived such complex and derogatory meaning from something so clear, simple and innocent.
I'm also a little bit put out that by implication you then associate my post with the type of men who personify their bicycles as women, and fantasize about brutally sexualizing them. Again, I would point out that this is something that has happened in your mind, not mine.
Perhaps you should seek help?

No I’m fine, thanks you.
Whether that was your intention or not the language you used has all the implications that although you did not mean helps to perpetuate the things I tried to bring to your attention.
As you pointed out there are many ways you could have referred to the frame: large, a nice bike for a taller rider, suitable for someone 6ft and above.
Your choice of language was poor and to me is similar to the over sexualised and misogynist comments often levelled at referring to bikes as she. Perhaps this was me taking it too far and my intention was not to accuse you of that behaviour.
I don’t think you had any negative intentions when you posted it nor that because you posted it it makes you are a sexist or a misogynist. The term you used does help to reinforce those stereotypes and doesn’t really make sense because as you mentioned this bike would fit several women and quite likely wouldn’t fit even more men.
It was never my intention to rile you so much but maybe give the out dated language a break eh?

@Jingle_Jangle I totally get that you feel that 'man-sized' in your head is just about it being a big frame and its not about the gender - but it is obviously gendered and unfortunately the cycling world's historical challenges with sexism and misogyny are pretty 'legendary' and unarguable. So not matter what was in your head - which knowing you are a good guy was obviously just about it being big - I would say its important to step back and recognise the implications that this kind of language has within the context of cycling.
IMO I think @BlackMath was right to just call out some language that might need some rethinking and to how it might sit within a larger and more problematic way in which a lot of society - and importantly cycling institutionally - uses gender to define power and dominance.

You’ve put it a lot better than me. Thanks

One think I think is worth pointing out:
A term such as ‘man-sized’ might seem pretty low-level on the face of it. I’m a bit below average height for a man and do find it a bit tiresome that theres some vague definition of manliness that might not include me because I’m not 6’, but honestly I can barely muster the effort to care. But then I’m not in a demographic that’s exactly barraged with gender role bullshit. For some, a term like that might be just one more in a torrent of low-level shit they have to put up with daily. It might be a totally innocent term in your head, but if someone mentions it’s troublesome when you didn’t realise it was, it’s always worth just rethinking when or if you use it in the future.

Just out of curiosity is this an old advert as I thought the name changed years ago?

Odd.
Fwiw, I’ve volunteered as a ‘big brother’ with boys and young men who don’t have positive male figures in their lives, and body image issues were a common source of anxiety. To complicate it more, most boys keep their angst to themselves because sharing their fears and stresses is also perceived as less manly.

Yeah, they ditched the “man size” thing years ago as it was seen as sexist.
They same tissues are now just called XL

Have no intention of buying it but it’s the beautiful condor baracchi 61cm (man or woman sized 😋) frame on eBay. It’s all dressed up for a bad taste party but was interested to know tyre clearance on the off chance I ever see one at a reasonable price, thinking prob 25 max with guards. It’s really completely irrelevant for me to know this info but thought the sellers response was worth a share.
