Flying gate repro (possibly a Jarvis) for £495 BIN: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Flying-Gate-copy-22-3-4/174346915602?hash=item2897e2cf12:g:pPYAAOSwHslfC1l8

@Jingle_Jangle surely that's for you?
An interesting machine, but not what it claims to be. The 'Flying Gate' design was invented by The Baines Brothers of Bradford, and production was re-instated by Trevor Jarvis, who holds the copyright. He has details of this machine, & the new owner must not attempt to pass it off as a genuine 'Baines'.....

Does seem pretty keenly priced for a tidy Trevor Jarvis.

Lovely Giant Cadex-vintage carbon with wishbone...

• #63073
I'm confused by the listing. Is the seller saying it's a Trevor Jarvis?
-
• #63074
It's been up for a while. I don't think it's a Trevor Jarvis. I think the seller means he has the 'licence' (as does Liz Beaumont http://www.beaumontbicycle.com/) and that he has the records for this one as NOT genuine.
It seems far far too clumsy a build for TJ (see pics). I had one of TJ's Flying Gates and the dude is as meticulous as you get. I think this is a home brew version by some with someone who had some gas pipe laying about... I would be a bit wary...
Saying that - has some nice head lugs and a decent fork crown.
