Agreed - great spot on the bars!
Curiosity got the better of me and I did a bit of digging, the conversion kit looks remarkably similar to this: http://www.roman-road.co.uk/conversions/, a nifty bit of kit and a snip at £1,400 whenever the website was published (at least 2015 - despite appearances - according to Wayback Machine). Bit of a tangent but it turns out trikes with two wheels on the front are called tadpoles. Even bigger tangent but Roman Road also led me to this insanely brilliant tadpole trike Brompton prototype! (Interesting story behind it here)
As for buying it, I was scouring for a touring frame from the likes of Longstaff/Bob Jackson/Mercian/etc for ages, and came across loads of awesome trikes/trike conversions and tandems along the way. I've been trying to be sensible and not buy loads of kit to split and sell on though, which has thankfully finally paid off with a rather lovely mid-90s Bob Jackson Super Tourist frameset with all the fixings, plus some nice bonuses like half-chromed forks/rear triangle and double box lining, so am all good for now... As you say though, this would make a great project for someone.

Yeah, good advice that. Nice one Tallsam.

Ideally a road/hybrid, it'll be my first 'proper' bike so nothing particularly high level as my knowhow is limited (love following the goings on/projects on here, though!), but would like something more than just a pub runner. Anywhere up to £200, really. I've got an old Muddy Fox Pathfinder but it needs completely building up, founds loads of useful stuff on here but it'll take me a while to procure all the necessary bits etc. Something relatively big as I'm 6'2. Great place this, so ideal situation would be to buy from someone selling on here!

Ah, I’ve got nothing that big, sorry. There’ll be something on here, and you’ll know it won’t be a piece of crap off Gumtree.

If it was 16” or bigger I’d probably have bought it.

Agreed, both my kids should grow big enough if they follow parents, but it’s a bit too far in the future... if it was 20” wheels!

This seems like a bargain, would've bought it already but the stack height is too much. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Eddy-Merckx-Mourenx-69-Carbon-Frameset/333514011542?hash=item4da6fbf396%3Ag%3AncsAAOSwKhpeRaEU&LH_ItemCondition=1500%7C2500%7C3000%7C7000

Oof, no way to treat a Trevor Jarvis.
Was just going to post the same. Good bikes don’t need to be super expensive. Post a wanted ad for a fixed/SS in size whatever, budget whatever and someone will probably have better for you than either of those bikes.
