Picked up a Jack Sibbit track frame (& forks) for £120. It looked quite nice - something I can build up slowly. Needs a re-spray so will drop it off at Armourtex later this week.
Anyone familiar with these Sibbit frames at all?

if its the lovely purple frame with gold lettering, please don't respray, lovely frame.

That's the one! Are these quite common then? The lettering is really nice actually - tempted to keep it as it is.
Do you think it's possible to respray without painting over the letters?

pretty rare, also considering it's probably the original paint job from the '50s
don't just re-spray a classic frame coz you don't like the colour.

Fair play - will probably take your advice on this. Thanks!
I only wanted to paint it as it's a bit rusty in some places (not much though). Looking forward to building this baby!

Eno hub would likely mean he could not use the lovely Carbone wheel set as (I think) they have proprietary lacing at both ends of the spokes.
But he could always get an eccentric BB if he wanted to run it as a fixed/SS with those wheels.

• #5947
Yeah eccentric BB for the win, half links cheaper option for the draw. Singleator on that bike would be just plain fucking wrong though.

Hmmm.... theres a lot on that bike which looks suspiciosuly like the one I sold a few months back... hope it wasn't stolen from him, i'll email him.
