Yeah, agreed. I was bidding conservatively, knowing I couldn't afford it anyway :-/. Even still my highest bid was pretty close to the winner... le sigh!
I have a MAX fork somewhere that just needs a longer steerer put on it, that would be cheapish and maybe take my mind off missing the Duell ;)

Winston Vaz at Varonha replaced the steerer on my Max forks for £60.

Agreed - I'm a bit of a skin-flint to be fair.

Awesome, I was planning to take it to him. Debating whether to convert it to threadless or keep it threaded.
-

The reason I got mine replaced was to go threadless.
Perhaps a threaded steerer would be a little more: cutting to length and cutting a thread.

Didn't see the pic with tape measure. To the centre of the top tube is 58

What are you talking about?
-
• #56345
The frame you posted. There's a picture on the listing with a tape measure against the seat tube which is stated as 64cm. You can see in the picture that from the top of the seat tube to the centre of the top tube is 6cm, therefore the useful piece of information is that it's a 58cm top tube. Got it?
