Fuck. Pulled the trigger on it. Not really enough in the bank but running gear is worth the price. Frame is a bonus.
Sounds excellent. Pics now you have snaffled it?

Just sorting it out with the guy tonight, then should have pics. Frame was a custom build for a pro so have no idea on its Concorde provenance. I know they had people build for them and then rebadged, so fuck knows where this one was made. No serial, nothing - just a frame size stamp and a Columbus sticker.
Either way, price covers the group and I'll see about the frame. Might have to be an investment/wall piece, tbh. Even considering a proper respray for the first time in my life as the colour/decals are awesome, but the paint is tatty. -

Look forward to the pics!

Someone page him. I assumed he had been already.
Looks like the classic:
Badly listed track frame + lots of people on LFGSS hoping for a bargain and putting in higher bids than they might normally do = massive/appropriate sale pricemight be happening though.

Looks rough in that pic, but I've been assured that all the parts are clean, threads are good etc. Have counted it up in my head and with conservative pricing the parts come to around £370 which covers the cost + postage.
Hopefully the frame is as sound as he says it is, I should get it on Friday/Monday so I'll see.At the very least:
Cinelli Pista bars (and possibly stem, he wasn't sure)
Full Campy Record pista group (though unmatching hubs, not that I'm that fussed)
Some sort of columbus frame with a good history.Good deal, I reckon!
(Provided that the frame isn't a rust bucket/fucked in a way that I can't make out in the photos).I have some SLX chrome road forks that might suit it, if not then I'll be on the look out for some sensible flat crown forks and maybe some better rims than those CXPs...

^ People shoot themselves in the foot with those high starting prices.
SLX Merck with full DA for 400 is considered high price? Find me a Merck with full DA for much less than that then!

Fair enough. I wish I was a little bit taller, I wish I was a baller etc.

It's only a 56.5cm top tube, so perfect for me... Too small for A polo.
I do think there is too much interest though, I can see over-excited bidders driving it towards £300...

What's the story with the 531 super tourist tubing?

That's interesting to hear: my Pogliaghi was dressed up as a Concorde, and it was only once i started stripping back the paintwork that I found the Pogliaghi markings at the top of the seatstays, which then made sense of the SP logos on the fork crown.
Looks good - I'll keep an eye out for it in the neighbourhood

I've had luck in the past id'ing frames (favourite was a 'tommy quick', made in Forest Hill) but I'm not sure I'll ever know about this one. Even custom builds have serials in my experience but this has nowt. Dropouts look to be good quality but again, no markings!
