He did... Was a fun punt anyway and didn't expect it to win so will wait till the frame arrives and see :)
Q: In your 2nd photobucket photo, I note that there is some electric tape wrapped around one of the seat stays, can you unwrap the tape and check if there are any damage under it? Thanks.
A: hi removed tape and it wasnt hiding anything, jetwashed the cruddy parts of the bike and it took the paint off as well, do damage found but it will have rust is some exposed areas thanks bob -

Eeek.
eBay has rules against selling used underwear*, is this a loophole?*I know this as it applies to used washable nappies too. Honest.
Well I once found a bra that had been worn on set by the mother from the 'Gilmore Girls' so I'd say it's okay.

@coventry eagle
Look's like a good punt to me, for £28 + £14 p&p! I hope the seat post does come out. If not you can always chop it and get a little hacksaw blade in the middle.
It should make for a nice project as long as you have some time and you don't mind spending the money to get it repainted. You'll still have a cheap bike and you'll love it because you resurrected it.

Should arrive sometime next week and if the seatpost comes out, that's worth about half of what I paid. Will need to get the bottle mount rebrazed and might get it on a jig to check if everything is lined up. Then pop by a body painter and see what it will cost to spray it using the leftover paint. Slow project but hopefully before the end of summer!

Nah! You can have this thing done before the snow melts.
Just give yourself deadlines, i.e. this seatpost is coming out by Sunday night. Resort to progressive levels of severity until it is achieved.
Your frame issues can be sorted in a couple of weeks if you just find a guy and let him have at it. Then buy a complete groupset including wheels & bars, source a few little bits off here, and you can totally be done by the time April becomes June. And I'd happily spend an extra £50 overall for a bike to be ready in June and not sat in pieces until September.
Groupset and wheels here for £200, another nice groupset here for £120.

I love finding listings like this: Shimano Spod Peddles
People don't seem to understand that spelling is quite important if you want someone to find your product. -

It is.
Why long steerer/aheadset on a 60s frame? New forks.
Too small for me I'd like a French track frame - I have a bunch of French track parts.
80s though.
60cm
Just in case anyone has one.
