"Bought it by accident" - genius!
+1 hahaha, if you see something you like you should put your maximum in and walk away or enlist the help of a sniper. all this sitting in with your stopwatch in hand half hoping your computer wont crash or you wont be asked to varify credentials with 4 seconds to go is madness.

I though I was getting in there with an hour to go to put my max bid in, which I think is reasonable. The longer you leave your max bid there, the more time other people have to to think about whether they can afford it or not. Anyway your maximum bid can change if it's something you really want!

There must be an odd optical illusion going on cause that looks waaaaay bigger than 56 but he seems to have been quite careful about measuring
edit: I say waaaay I mean 2-4cm bigger

I though I was ........blah,blah......something you really want!
thats where you have to be honest with yourself from the begining and decide how much your maximum is. a little bit of research, estimate what it should go for, decide how much you honestly want to pay for it and end of. if it goes for ten pounds more then it wasnt supposed to be.
