still, that takhion seems like at a very good price to me. would be tempted, if it wasnt for that top tube - I got a weird feeling its sloping the wrong way:)

Just needs re-tapping and I would always suggest that after any frame has been resprayed- mainly due to the bead/sand blasting
Of course - stupid me. My horizon seems quite narrow sometimes. -

Auction for Ti Raleigh 61cm 531C Track frame Number SB4634
This is the first of a number of 1980 vintage TI Raleigh track frames I have for sale in sizes from 50cm to 61cm.
This is one of the “Stadium bikes” from Meadowbank Velodrome in Edinburgh.
They came directly from Gerald O Donovan of the Raleigh Special Bicycle Development Unit in Ilkeston in 1981 and have been used and perhaps a little neglected over the past 31 years with fading paint and the odd scrape here and there.
There is some information on the SBDU here :
http://www.classiclightweights.co.uk/builders/raleigh-sbdu-builders.html
These are the bikes that have been used to introduce three generations of Scottish Track riders on the path to Championships success, they include :
Tom Annable, Eddie Alexander, Allister Watson, Stuart Brydon, Tom Glen, Anthony Stirrat, Craig McLean, Chris Hoy, Pete Jacques, Julie Paulding, Carol Gray, Kate Cullen, Daisy Sherwood, Toby Sherwood, Charline Joiner, Jenny Davis, Louise Haston, Kenny Ayre, and Katie Archibald as well as all the riders whose names I have forgotten.
Here is a little of the history:
*"In August 1980 Brian Annable negotiated an agreement with Gerald O Donovan of Raleigh Cycles to supply 11 track bikes to the City of Edinburgh Council (CEC) for a special price of £3300.
The Council also agreed to fund the provision of track lighting by East of Scotland Cycling Association (ESCA), and to donate £700 for ESCA to recondition the Carltons that were supplied when the track opened in 1970.
BA reached an agreement between ESCA and CEC that ESCA would become responsible for ownership, deployment, maintenance, and safety in use of the track machines, and CEC would fund the purchase of components needing replacement."*These bikes are more than 30 years old now and I would like to replace them with modern alloy track frames, probably Dolan Precursa's or Track Champions frames / bikes.
In order to do this, the frames are being auctioned off to riders who appreciate what are possibly the finest lugged 531 steel track frames to be made in Britain over the last 30 years.
**** If you would like to bid on this frame have a look at the pictures here: ****

**and read this : **
The Auction will open on the 27th of December 2011 at 00:01 am and will run for 7 days to the 3rd of January with bidding remaining open 10 minutes after last bid (no sniping).
Place your bid in this thread
and send your contact details in an email with the title < Raleigh SB4634 bid >and the amount you are bidding to trackkitforsale@gmail.com
That way the current bid will be shown on this forum thread .
A donation to the forum costs will be made on completion of the sale.
**You are bidding on a 61cm Ti Raleigh Track frame and forks. Number SB4634 **
The top tube has a slight dent 8cm back from the head tube on the top tube just under the "G" on the Raleigh which is hardly noticeable, but it's there when you run your finger along the tube.
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-4...0/P1060862.JPG
There are no other dents or dings on any of the other tubes.
The BB, seat pin and stem all came out of the frame easily and the threads are in good condition.
This is a frame that has never been used in the wet but it has been in a damp bike store so there is a little superficial corrosion on the paint chips.
Top tube centre to centre is 58cm
Seat tube centre to centre is 59cm
Head tube is 18.6cm
The frame weighs 2056g and the fork is 832g
The frame has not been cleaned up or polished at all so it may look a bit better once it's had a bit of TLC as it's not had much of that the last 30 years !

http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/live_like_lance/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=&_trksid=p3686
Stumbled across this seller and thought it would be some crazed yank Pharmstrong nutcase. But nay! UK based. 'Live like Lance! Yay...'
"Lance Armstrong, no man has had a greater impact upon professional cycling in recent history. Diagnosed with cancer in October 1996, Tour de France winner in 1999! He went on to win an unprecedented seven consecutive Tours. These feats were so incredible that many could not accept that his accomplishments were not drug fuelled. But, years of investigation and testing found no evidence of this.
Lance’s achievements were fuelled by something more powerful; a dogged determination to be the best. It is this spirit which we at LIVE LIKE LANCE are hoping to tap into. We want to provide eBayers with great service and the best cycling parts, clothing and memorabilia at realistic prices. Since our first auction in March 2008, we have rapidly established a solid base of satisfied customers, who now know that we can be relied upon for a high quality eBaying experience."
How about your shit ebay layout hurts my fucking eyes and makes you look even more unhinged than you sound you fucking loon... I'm not buying shit from you.
