it seems the listing mentioned upthread has been deleted by ebay. they offered bikes with postage as high as £1,000.00 as shown in pic below. a few people mentioned that they were going to buy one and try to collect. i just wondered if anybody had been successful.

I saw some total cunt who had listed a few things i would have normally bought at reasonable prices but had ridiculous postage cost. in the listing he said something along the lines of "i hope people don't mind the postage costs its to help me preserve my profit"
what a wanker, just put a fucking reserve price on it you tool -

Asked if a can collect or arrange my own courrier but he declined! Just waiting until i can leave some feedback.

CHEAP (Track) chain rings (and other stuff) in NL
This seller offers a lot and I got myself a cheap Campag track chain ring NOS for EUR 20.-
It's 48T, BCD 144mm, 3/32".
The seller doesn't know well what she's selling.
Good, because it keeps the price low.
Bad, bacause info is not always correct.
She mailed me that the chain rings are thick ; 3mm ; 1/8", but it's actually 2 mm, 3/32".
For me even better. For those who are interested: she has more of the same, new rings fdor a fixed price.
As well as other (nor always branded) rings and other bike stuff.
Too bad that she doesn't offer BCD 151mm, 'cause I need one urgently. -

A very big gamble in my view, as he'd stated that his LBS had tried to remove it and failed.
I hope they didn't damage the frame and you have some joy in getting out, the shame is that the seatpost will be ruined and you'll struggle to find another to replace it.

The parts are worth £200 though so not much of a gamble. I've disolved alu seatposts before with some chemicles so should be gud.

i am sure it was fine, the thing about ebay is if you bought it for 200 some one else will if you can't get it out

could have been 'local childrens prams and bicycle store' or halfordsesque place
stick a saddle on it and find someone strong to twist it off or hammer(mallet) it off
