I know you're all Merckx nuts, so:
Somebody has been pissing about with it to fit a triple, but you simply can't argue with Chorus 8sp Ergo levers and a panto stem. You simply can't.

This guy continues to annoy the hell out of me.
Last week purchased on Markplaats, a week later on Ebay for close to 4 times as much:
He does this every time, already sold around 50 bikes this way...

Got to ask yourself why they're not fetching more in the first place.
Hard to blame somebody for making a living off eBay.

Of course not, but making a killing is another matter.
They're fetching quite ok in the first place, but not everyone in Holland is capable to sell through Ebay (and reach people who're willing to pay top (or crazy) money - like a lot of wealthy Americans, it seems.)
A lot of these bikes are bought from older people who sell their classical bike, their pride and joy, not fully knowing how much it can command. And often they assume it will go to a fellow enthousiast, not a reseller who makes a quick & big buck.
I'd rather see it go that route. Or through someone who's passionate about bikes, like the resellers on this forum.

The seller is Hong Kong based and has zero feedback.
I'd probably give it a miss.

I'm tempted to buy this for it's comedy value alone. Note the front suspension.
