I'm wondering about the many differences of detail between this frame and all those pictured on Classic Rendezvous.

Could it be that this one is one of the late Witcombs that reportedly were built in the US?

The Witcomb for sale is mine. I bought it from an individual in the uk, unfortunately the shop is not open so i cant verify the frame number. It was my understanding that bike builders/shops like Witcomb/bob jackson etc build a variety of frames from different tubing etc. Those shown on classic rendezvous are the more high end ornate examples from the builder.

Fair enough. It's a terrible temptation.

Really annoyed I missed this cheap Tommasini Prestige. I suspect someone from the forum got it...damn! ;)

i forgot about that tommasini watching the tour. total bargain. there is one on gumtree for 400 with a better frame and worse components.
