i found a pretty decent nike running jacket in lillywhites the other day, water and windproof and reduced to 38 pounds...may not be your cuppa tea but a bargain at that price i thought.

ahhhh that's good news, i'm a big time layerer... base layer, thick merino for those cooler mornings, long-sleeve jersey, bib... i'm guessing i'll be alright!
i do love my nara furi jacket as it does look and fit great, and i really do love the sort of 'fingerless mits' on the sleeves... but i always got the impression it wasn't the best in terms of performance. ESPECIALLY in the wet.
i'm gonna take your advice and grab me one of these. thanks! -
